The press release was held at the Eslite Bookstore in Hsinyi District of Taipei City, where many social celebrities also attended to offer their blessings. These celebrities included the Chairman of Taiwan High Speed Rail Corporation, Dr. Chin-Der Ou, and the Founder of Global View Monthly, Dr. Charles H. C. Kao.

In the press release, His Eminence Cardinal Paul Shan humbly said that lots of things he had planned have not yet been fulfilled although things beyond his capabilities have all been fortunately achieved. He shared that he has not the slightest regret for those things that have not yet been fulfilled, for God has always led him on the right track. He encouraged everyone to treat drawbacks which appear in life as positive stepping stones towards success and show no fear to embrace them.

The Abbot President highly praised His Eminence Cardinal Paul Shan’s honorable contribution to humanity and the inspiration he has given for one to pursue self-value without fear or hesitation. He said that as His Eminence Cardinal Paul Shan has taught, we must hold on to life’s quality, meaning, and value.
