Sprinkling Ceremony Held on May 3rd to Mark the Opening of the Chon Buri Center of DDM Association of Dharma Supporters in Thailand

Venerable Chang Yuan (常遠法師), the Director-in-Chief of Dharma Drum Mountain (DDM) Sangha, recently made a special trip to Thailand to officiate at the sprinkling ceremony on the morning of May 3rd, marking the opening for use of DDM Association of Dharma Supporters in Thailand's newly purchased Chon Buri Center. Chang Chun-Fu (張俊福), Representative of the Taipei Economic and Cultural Office in Thailand, and his wife also drove from Bangkok to attend the ceremony to celebrate the newly acquired venue for learning and propagating Buddhadharma with Venerable Chang Jyu (常炬法師), Guiding Venerable of DDM Association of Dharma Supporters in Thailand, and more than 70 Buddhist followers.

On behalf of the DDM Sangha, Ven. Chang Yuan extended special thanks to the Buddhist followers and the committee members of Thai-Taiwan Business Association (TTBA) for their support to DDM. He encouraged everyone to participate in group practice regularly since the Chon Buri Center is open to the public. He also cordially invited Representative Chang to bring the people in Thailand to visit DDM World Center for Buddhist Education in Taiwan.

DDM Association of Dharma Supporters in Thailand pointed out that Chon Buri is located on the east coast of Thailand, within the area of the Thai government's "Eastern Economic Corridor (EEC)" development plan. Many major electronics manufacturers have come to set up factories here. In September, 2019, DDM found this venue suitable for propagating the Dharma, and rented it to set up the "Chon Buri Center." After the pandemic, and thanks to the joint efforts of DDM Sangha, Ms. Porntip Chupini Jask (蘇林妙芬), the Convener of DDM Association of Dharma Supporters in Thailand, and other Dharma supporters together decided to buy this venue.

After the ceremony, the Venerables presented gifts as blessings to each one of the participants. Rejoicing at the presence of four DDM Venerables during the sprinkling ceremony, the followers seized the opportunity to request Dharma teachings from the Venerables and took a group photo after lunch to record this memorable occasion.
