DDM to Hold the "Repaying the Master's Kindness Concert" featuring the First Performance of Vox Nativa Children's Choir at a Buddhist Monastery

At the invitation of Dharma Drum Mountain (DDM), Vox Nativa Children's Choir will perform at the "Repaying the Master's Kindness Concert" commemorating the 15th anniversary of Master Sheng Yen's passing on March 10th at 3:00 p. m. at Nung Chan Monastery in Beitou, Taiwan. Renowned harpist Dr. Chao-Pei Chen (陳釗沛) and singer-songwriter Alan Kuo (柯有倫) will also give brilliant performances at the concert. More than 2,000 people are expected to attend the concert.

With their bright singing voices, these children who believe in Christ from Nantou spread the gospel around the world and become the glory of Taiwan. This concert will be their first time performing in a Buddhist monastery, demonstrating integration and respect for diverse ethnic communities and religions. A stage will be set up for the very first time above the Water-moon Pond, bringing an audio-visual immersive experience to the public.

The organizer, DDM Dharma Affinity Society, indicated that, given followers' remembrance of the Master's kindness, they choose to hold the concert for the 15th anniversary of his passing at the place where Master Sheng Yen began to spread the Dharma. For this concert, they collaborated with the Choir and the Young People Development Department, which also have been established for thirty years. Dharma Affinity Society hopes that, through chanting Buddhist songs, we can have an opportunity to reminisce about and repay the Master's kindness with our gratitude, as well as spread the wisdom and compassion of Buddha-dharma to the public through music. In response to the requests of adherents at home and abroad, the DDM Sangha will broadcast the entire "Repaying the Master's Kindness Concert" live: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0WyNw7PPTV4 (Live streaming begins on Sunday, March 10th from 3:30 pm to 6:00 pm, GMT+8.)
