DDM on July 10 holds a peace-prayer assembly for the victims and affected people

Master Sheng Yen, founder of DDM once said, “In face of the horror of a disaster, the best way is to apply compassion to relate to the feelings of the affected people, who are still suffering, and pray that they can leave behind the difficulties and distress soon.”

To pray for the victims and affected people to leave suffering behind and attain peace of mind, the Dharma Drum Mountain sangha organized the Peace Prayer Assembly for All on July 10, 2-4 pm, which took place simultaneously at Nung Chan Monastery, Taipei City, Dharma Drum Mountain World Center for Buddhist Education, New Taipei City, and Ziyun Monastery, Kaohsiung, and was broadcast live at Yunlai Monastery, Beitou, Zhaiming Branch Monastery, Taoyuan, Baoyun Monastery, Taichung, Yunji Monastery, Tainan, and Xinxing Monastery, Taitung. DDM invited people across Taiwan to jointly pray for blessings for all those who need them.

Overseas devotees and people who were unable to attend the assembly in person also participated in the event live on-line, praying together for suffering people, as well as for society and world peace.
