Event Description

Come practice together online. Deepen your method, strengthen your determination on the path and your commitment to developing wisdom and compassion as we explore self-mastery through Chan meditation.

Requirements to be accepted:
1. Previous instruction in basic meditation.
2. A commitment to all-day practice.
3. A PC or smart-phone to connect with the retreat.

Please approach this virtual retreat as if you were practicing in the Chan Hall: set aside a dedicated space in the comfort of your own home for seated meditation; let your housemates know that you should not be disturbed; and do not distract yourself with talking, reading, or using unnecessary electronic devices.

When sitting for extended periods, floor cushions or a meditation bench are ideal for allowing you to establish a stable, yet comfortable position. Alternatively, a sturdy, comfortable chair may be appropriate for your body. Ensure that when seated at the edge of your chair your thighs can be level with the floor.
