Medicine Buddha Statue

The Medicine Buddha statue was carved in the style of Yungang Stong Cave of the Southern and Northern Dynasties, and donated to Dharma Drum Mountain by an anonymous supporter. This statue is located near the bank of Caoyuan Creek at the DDM complex. From this site we can look toward the Grand Buddha Hall and the Lotus Bell Tower in the distance, and enjoy a wide field of vision. Sheltered by a bamboo grove in the rear, Medicine Buddha sits in the lotus posture, with the hands making the gesture of meditation and the face beaming, revealing ease and composure. The Holy One brings people blessings of longevity and happiness.

Please pray devoutly for happiness, longevity, and peace
1. Make a bow to Medicine Buddha, then prostrate respectfully (or bow instead)
2. Join palms, and silently recite, " Homage to Medicine Buddha, who eliminates disasters and prolong lives"
3. Prostrate respectully again before the Buddha statue (or bow instead), make wishes, then transfer the merit and pray for blessings.
