Chan Meditation Center English Sunday Dharma Talk - The Heart of Chan: Exploring Mind via Mahaprajna Paramita -2 Talk By Gilbert Gutierrez

What I am attracted to in the lecture is the sincere and clear style. I feel the spirit and wisdom coupled with the compassion that shows the power of the teacher who can see through things and phenomena.   It is the esoteric experience of the heart. We all have buddha nature inside us.

From the lecture, I am learning to harmonize with the environment. see things as they are, what is real.  Turn the mind's eye inward, look inside. Try to allow all notions of self to dissolve, to let go.  I am far from knowing the answers, but I sense there is something of great value, leading to the truth of reality.

I have been seeking outside myself all my life for something to help me feel secure and safe.  Now I am trying to learn to relax in the now and sink into present.  Cause and effect never fail. Thoughts liberate themselves.  Accept things as they are.

Clouds gather naturally where the genuine dragon roams freely, Sprinkling the dhamma rain that quenches the thirst for answers to life’s questions, Helping all beings to cleanse and free themselves from suffering.
