Mindful Youth (ages 11 -16) Spring 2023 Program
Mindful Practices - Exercise Your Brain
Inspire young minds! Learn to be mindful in a way that is fun, dynamic and transformative! Nurture the wellbeing of 11-16 year olds by giving them the skill to calm their bodies, clear their minds, have confidence in managing difficulties and pave the way to a happy and fulfilling life.
There are three key components of this program:
- Teach the principles of mindfulness, demonstrate the benefits directly related to their world and show them how to use it
- Discuss issues that they can relate to and show them how to make things better by practicing mindfulness
- Emphasize the importance of human values (compassion, kindness, respect, love, truth, peace…etc) as they focus on the fundamental goodness of humanity
Games, videos, discussions, role plays, and interactive activities will be utilized for all subjects.
Class Schedules: Saturdays, 2:00 - 4:30 pm
2/11, 2/25, 3/11, 3/25 & 4/8
Suggested donation: 1st child : $50; 2nd child : $25.
