What a way to kick off your 2023 Chan meditation practice, led by Dr. Rebecca Li, Dharma heir in the lineage of Chan Master Sheng Yen.

In this retreat, Dr. Rebecca Li will guide retreatants in the practice of Chan meditation.  She will explain how to practice sitting meditation, covering topics ranging from sitting posture, through various ways to practice the breath method, to helpful mental attitudes to support one’s meditation. Dharma talks are designed to help practitioners investigate the mind. Dr. Li will also guide retreatants through Chan practice in motion and offer private interviews to discuss issues related to one’s practice both in and outside the retreat.

This is a not-to-be-missed opportunity with an incredible teacher to really deepen your practice, further your experiential understanding of Chan (Chinese Zen), and a fantastic way to enjoy the benefits of Chan practice.

Retreat Program

Retreat participants will learn to engage in Chan Practice in the context of daily life activities, such as sitting, eating, walking, and working, under the teacher’s guidance.  Instructions will include Eight-form moving meditation to harmonize the body and mind.  The retreat also includes daily lectures, meditation instruction, guided meditation, and optional interviews.
