Life in a Retreat Center (in person)

 

Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, we will only accept people who can show proof of being fully vaccinated no later than  May 22, 2022. We also ask that you send us the results of a COVID PCR test taken within 3 days of your arrival at our center. During the retreat we will require masks.

Please join us for a unique experience of living at a Buddhist temple.  This retreat is for young people 18-35 (Update: We will accept up to 40 years of age).  Our center is a calm and peaceful place surrounded by the beautiful Shawangunk Mountains.  This is a great place to practice, relax your body and mind.  In this retreat, you will get a sense of what a monastic’s schedule is like, while having fun and connection with sangha and a like minded community of young people.  You will enjoy Dharma classes, walking, sitting and working meditation, group discussion and sharing.  Personal time will be included.  

This retreat is free of charge, allowing young people to begin or enhance their practice.
