Dharma Drum Mountain Buddhist Centre Malaysia Holds its First “A Mind at Peace, a Life at Peace” Online Prayer Assembly.

On July 28, nearly 100 volunteers of the DDM Buddhist Center in Malaysia gathered online to participate in the “A Mind at Peace, a Life at Peace” Dharma assembly, to pray for the volunteers who had tested positive for COVID-19, as well as those still suffering from the pandemic.

Malaysia has recently recorded over 10,000 daily new cases for COVID-19, and the cumulative confirmed cases have reached one-thirtieth of its population. The pandemic has overwhelmed the country’s health care system and left many people hard hit by the difficult situation.

Guanyin Bodhisattva has a compassionate vow to always answer people’s cries for help and respond to people’s sincere wishes without discrimination. On the day of the Bodhisattva’s enlightenment, DDM Buddhist Centre Malaysia invited its volunteers to jointly chant the Universal Door Chapter of the Lotus Sutra, the Heart Sutra, and the Bodhisattva’s epithet, as a prayer for their family and friends, as well as all those in suffering. With the help of the Bodhisattva’s vow power, the volunteers hoped that people could find spiritual support and solace in the face of this challenge.
