Dharma Drum Mountain's Spring Couplets 2022 “The Great Bodhi Mind” Available for Free Distribution

The theme of DDM founder Master Sheng Yen's 2022 spring couplets is "The Great Bodhi Mind". Free couplets are available at DDM branches both at home and abroad, starting from Dec 17.

Venerable Guo Huei, Abbot President of DDM, said "The Bodhi Mind (Bodhicitta)" is the most valuable teaching he learned from Master Sheng Yen as well as a core Buddhist principle. He further stated that the best interpretation of "The Great Bodhi Mind" would be: "Compassion has no enemies; wisdom engenders no vexations".

Venerable Guo Huei pointed out that, in order to protect our minds from being affected by the environment, learn to live in peace and harmony with others, and lead a more sustainable lifestyle on earth when facing natural disasters, COVID-19, and changes in international situations, we need to put Spiritual Environmental Protection into practice and integrate it with Social, Living and Natural Environmental Protection. 

Thus, DDM has chosen "The Great Bodhi Mind" as the annual theme, promoting the spirit of DDM's Theme of the Year: "Arouse the great bodhi mind; benefiting others is benefiting yourself. Emulate the myriad ways of a bodhisattva, nourishing our world with merit and wisdom." May each one of us care for each other, learning to benefit ourselves using wisdom and others using compassion. In doing so, it is hoped that 2022 will be a year full of hope and brightness.
