Ven. Guo Huei, Abbot President of Dharma Drum Mountain, extended his deepest gratitude towards the epidemic prevention team for their dedication to safeguarding public health. The Venerable expressed the hope that the six million 1 cc syringes can help enhance vaccination coverage by avoiding potential waste of the precious vaccines.

"We'd like to express thanks to Dharma Drum Mountain for upholding Master Sheng Yen's spirit and contributing to Taiwan's society behind the scenes," said Chen. He went on to explain that, among the 1 cc and 3cc syringes commonly used internationally, the former are most convenient to operate yet hard to acquire. Therefore, Dharma Drum Mountain sangha and its followers had certainly helped the coronavirus prevention efforts by donating over six million 1cc syringes, thereby committing to "safeguarding each other for a peaceful mind and life".

Finally, the Abbot President gave the team copies of DDM founder Master Sheng Yen's calligraphy work displaying the words "Peace and Ease", in addition to guidance books on Chan practice, as a blessing for them to cultivate a calm body and mind in their striving for public health.
