Registration of the 12th DDM Awakening Camp Begins!

The DDM Awakening Camp is for those who wish to experience the monastic life for a short period of time. Below are some of the sentiment of past participants on the homepage of the camp (http://ddmawakening.blogspot.tw/): “A feeling of ease that I had never felt before”, “I finally found the direction in life and will make the most of my time to pursue it”, “The Buddha Dharma is in all aspect of my life, not just in the sutras”, “I cried upon realizing the ego that I have been carrying around”.

Dharma Drum Sangha University (DDSU) welcomes everyone who meets the registration requirements to sign up for the 12th Awakening Camp to experience monastic spiritual life. The duration for this camp is 11 days, from January 31 through February 10, 2015 at the DDM World Center for Buddhist Education (DDMWCBE).

Please note that participants will be ordained and are expected to observe the etiquettes and daily routine of DDM Sangha. In addition, participants will be given guidance on the Buddhist view of life, chanting, precepts, Chan meditation, etc., as well as ponder and reflect on the value and direction of life.
