Mindfulness of sensation as suffering

The practice of contemplating our sensation, or feelings, as suffering is to make us aware that in this world suffering is the rule, while joy is a temporary exception. By having fewer desires and being content, we can minimize our cravings for the pursuit of all kinds of desires, and eventually attain liberation, which is the eternal joy.More on the difference between pain and suffering
