At 10 o’clock on the morning of September 5th, 2014, Ministry of the Interior held an assembly to praise the religious groups with outstanding performance in New Taipei City Government. Given the long-standing promotion of the late venerable Master Sheng Yen’s ideals of combining care and education, Dharma Drum Mountain Buddhist Foundation (DDMBF), the Chung-Hwa Institute of Buddhist Culture (CHIBC), Yun Lai Monastery, and Nung Chan Monastery, affiliates of Dharma Drum Mountain, are all deeply approved by the Government.

After over two years of construction, on the morning of 27 February, 2010, Tien Nan Monastery of Dharma Drum Mountain was officially inaugurated. DDM’s Abbot President, Venerable Guo Dong, Taiwan’s Vice President, Mr. Vincent Siew (Wan-Chang, Siew), Magistrate of Taipei County, Mr. Hsi-Wei Chou, local celebrities, as well as more than three thousand devotees attended the event to offer their warmest blessings.

On the evenings of 24 and 25 February, 2010, Dharma Drum Mountain specially hosted the ‘My Vows Are Eternal Music Concert’ at Taipei’s the Dr. Sun Yat-Sen Memorial Hall to commemorate the compassion and spirit of the late Venerable Master Sheng Yen, the Founder of Dharma Drum Mountain.
